The South Dakota State University School of Design invites applications and nominations for a Professor of Practice and Program Coordinator in Architecture. This is a full-time, 12-month, benefit-eligible, term appointment with a start date of no later than August 22, 2022. The position reports to and works collaboratively with the Director of the School of Design as a member of the school’s leadership team.
The School of Design includes both the visual arts and the built environment, with degree programs in architecture, graphic design, interior design, landscape architecture and studio art. Collectively, School faculty form a collaborative teaching and research environment that values cross-program, interprofessional and interdisciplinary initiatives. The successful candidate will contribute to building the national and international reputation of the discipline of architecture, of the School of Design, and of SDSU.
This position will be at the senior faculty level. The successful candidate will bring a licensed practicing architect’s expertise and life experience to mentor and lead the architecture faculty and students. The position duties are balanced equally between the leadership role of Architecture program coordinator and the disciplinary role of significant contributor to the design and delivery of the core architecture curriculum.

The Architecture Engineering and Technology department at Southeast Technical college is looking for an adjunct instructor for the upcoming Spring semester. We are looking for an instructor for our CAD 211 Computer Assisted Drafting II course which introduces students Auto desk Revit a BIM Building Information Modeling software. Any candidates applying for this position should have professional experience using Autodesk Revit software. Knowledge of residential construction is a plus. As an instructor you will help the student design and produce plans, elevations, sections, and various details for residential buildings as well as give students one on one instruction during lab time. Course content such as tests and assignments will be provided to instructors. This is a part time position that will require availability two days a week. The class time for this course is flexible, so if an evening course is an option. The instructor would be using existing course material and would be supplied with a laptop and textbook.
